Selection to national institutes is based on the cut-off marks scored by a candidate in JEE Mains and the structure of option entry. For the residents of Karnataka, seats may be available if NIT-K is given the first option in the entry. It also depends on the branch selected by the student.

It depends on your ranking and according to what I feel 50/360 marks might not yield a good rank to get through NITK Surathkal general merit seat.

Now counseling is over so this year you can't get admission and even with this marks you can't get admission in NIT. So try to score good marks next year so that you can get admission in NIT. All the Best!!
