In first counselling, college will allocate seats upto 2k rank in stream 1. If the aspirants in that counselling left SASTRA for better opportunities. Then there will be a chance for you. All the CSE, ECE, ICT, IT, seats will be filled below the 1k-1.5k rank for sure. So all you have is MECH, CIVIL, EEE, EIE, BIOTECH AND CHEMICAL and many more. These have less demand from the past years and the seats in these Branches are vacant till the last round of counselling. First know your strengths.
