Depends upon your Choice of branch. You may get into MME and other branches. But you don't belong to state quota so moderate saught branches may not be available. Go for other NIT also. All the best.

Sure, try for the same branch in other NITs also. NIT Surat is also good for mechanical , according to some of my Friends studying there. Try to talk to someone from NIT Nagpur as that is easy because of state quota. Get the review before you choose for NIT Nagpur.
