Can I get admission directly in the 2nd year after completing Diploma?

Yes you can. If you are planning to go for engineering then you definitely can. almost all the universities provide lateral entry after diploma. Check with the university once as well.

Yes. you might have to appear for the entrance exam. Not all the universities require entrance for lateral entries. You can try management quota as well. this you will have to check with the university.
