LPU floats more than 250 programmes out of which B.Sc. Nutrition and Dietetics is one among them. One of my friend inquired regarding Nutrition and Dietetics, she told that LPU donot offer B.Sc. Food and Dietetics. Addressing your query, yes you can take admission without LPU NEST but you have to be eligible. The eligibility is 60% with (English, Physics, Chemistry, & Biology/ Biotechnology)
In addition to this, you can appear for LPU NEST for scholarship. LPU floats scholarship on the following basis:
    1. Previous qualification
    2. LPUNEST
    3. Defence/Sports/Cultural
    4. COVID-19 Frontline Scholarship
I will advice to take admission before 31-

Eligibility criteria is pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Biotechnology or Food Processing as vocational subject) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU-NEST. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants).
Admission Criteria is merit in qualifying examination.
    Hope this helps!

There are two points to be noted here.
    1. There is no entrance exam for B.Sc. Nutrition and Dietetics at LPU for 2020 batch. Due to the pandemic situation of COVID-19, University has taken an initiative and has relaxed the eligibility criteria for admission in many courses. B.Sc. Food and dietetics is one of them. University states, " During this period of ongoing COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, to support prospective students (candidates) to apply for admissions, direct online/remote admissions (subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria) process has been started. "
    2. Since there is no entrance exam, you can apply for scholarship test

Due to the current situation I. e. COVID-19, the admissions 2020 is being done online and the eligibility criteria is a bit relaxed. The eligibility criteria is a pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Biotechnology) or equivalent. Therefore, LPU NEST is not mandatory for eligibility but if you want you can give it for a scholarship. LPU offers different types of scholarships. The last date for admission to avail maximum scholarship is 31st May 2020.
