Can I get admission for M.Sc in nutrition and dietetics? I did my 12th with science but graduation in BBA.

M.Sc. (Nutrition and Dietetics )

60% (Bachelor's of Science degree with (Nutrition & Dietetics/ Home Sc./ Med / Non-Med / Bio-Sc. / Medical Science & Allied Medical/ Food Tech./ Veterinary Microbiology & Parasitology/ Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology/ Clinical Chemistry/ Public Health & Allied Sciences)) + LPUNEST

No, you cannot take admission in M.Sc in Nutrition and Dietetics. Only science students can take admission in M.Sc.

Dear Monika, Eligibility Criteria for this programme is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Bachelor's of Science Degree (Home Science or Medical or Non-Medical or Biosciences or Medical Science & Allied Medical or Nutrition & Dietetics or Food Technology) or Veterinary Microbiology & Parasitology or Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology or Clinical Chemistry or Public Health & Allied Sciences or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST.
In case marks scored in graduation are 70% or above, then LPUNEST will be exempted and candidate may apply for admission.

You should have a base in that field. So, without B.Sc in food and dietitian, it's not possible to go for M.Sc with that subject. Hope you understand.
Let me explain to you that what is a dietician and nutritionist. A dietician or nutritionist deals with the people and informs and guide them about the diet they should improve their general or overall health and avoid some common disease and keep control on existing health ailments.
Dieticians guide people on healthy eating habits and they draw the personalized food plan of their customer, that meets the patients or customers dietary restrictions, occupational or professional constraints stress and fitness levels without any side effects. On the other hand, the nutritionist studies the effect of food (on human beings) and their effect on temperature, processing, storage, transportation and environmental factors.
Now, the prerequisite to becoming a dietician that you should have interest in fitness, health and food. You should also know about different types of foods, that should be of low calories, low fat and should be palatable and easily available in the market so that you can guide your patients or different individuals as per their requirements. Other skills which could be added advantageously to you could be market know-how, interpersonal skills and time management.
After passing intermediate or 10+2 one has to study science subjects, such as food and nutrition, food science and food technology. After passing graduate degree in any one of the above subjects a masters degree in Nutrition is required. After having post graduation degree for your betterment a doctoral degree will certainly add the feather in your cap. You have to also appear in RD exams to become a registered dietician.
Now, from where you can get this degree, there are many universities in India offering B.Sc in food science, nutrition and food technology. Mainly college of home science in any university are running these courses. Some universities are also offering diploma courses in nutrition and dietician,
Dietician field growing and demanding field and the opportunities are endless.
Common Universities/institutes offering this course are:

You are not eligibile for M.Sc in Nurtition and Dietetics program. Eligibility for this program is pass with 60% aggregate marks in bachelor degree in nutrition and dietetics and you have to qualify in LPUNEST or JAM.
But you can definitely go for other programs like MBA.

Sorry to say, but for M.Sc in food and dietician, you must have a B.Sc degree. With BBA, you are not eligible for that.
