Can I get admission for MBA in LPU for this session (2017) if I appear for October CAT?

    Hi,Yes, you can get admission because due to COVID the norms have been relaxed. Now you need 55% in your graduation and register for a skype interview would be a good choice for varied reasons:
    1. Ranked number 2 among Indian B-Schools in Outreach and Inclusivity by NIRF
    2. Among the first 10 institutions to get ACBSP (USA) Accreditation
    3. Alumni are working top brands like Google, Apple, and Facebook some of the most sought after jobs today
    4. 55+ campus recruitment drives with reputed brands like ITC Limited, MRF, Kellogs, etc.
    5. International companies like Hyatt (USA), Adani Wilmar (Africa), Al Rakha (Dubai) recruit from LPU

    Hello,
    Choosing LPU for MBA is one of your best decision. It is not mandatory to qualify CAT for MBA Admission at LPU, you can appear for LPUNEST-Interview and get your seat confirmed at LPU. You will be glad to know that LPU has relaxed it's eligibility criteria due to COVID-19. Eligibility for admission is 55% aggregate percentage in any graduation and LPU NEST Interviews ( Interview will be conducted remotely online ) must be qualified.     CAT'17 will be held on December 2 this year and it's validity is a year.

    Hi Harman, LPU do consider CAT but it is not necessary that you must be qualified CAT. You can take admission in Mittal School of Business, LPU. This year due to COVID-19 pandemic LPU has given relaxation in the LPU NEST qualification also. To get Admission in MBA at LPU, Candidate must have minimum 55% aggregate percentage in any graduation and Interviews must be qualified. Over the period of years LPU has become very strict in the eligibility criteria and Admission Intake. Once you are have qualified the eligibility criteria you can take admission in MBA.     When you give CAT at that movement its not necessary that you will get admission in which ever college you want but if you score in CAT at that time you will get admission in those colleges for MBA where you want.

    MBA gives a good career start and leads to a wide scope for career development and skills. In order to take admission in MBA the eligibility criteria needs to be MET in LPU. The eligibility is 55% + LPUNEST/CAT/MAT/XAT/NMAT/CMAT+ Interview or Completed Company Secretary CS from Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) or Completed Chartered Accountancy CA from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) or Completed Cost & Management Accountancy (CMA) from Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI).     Well, in this year of 2020 session, LPU has relaxed their eligibility norms, for MBA programme the eligibility criteria is Pass with 55% aggregate marks in Bachelors degree (any discipline)or equivalent, and Interview. Therefore it is not required for you to appear for CAT exam. You can apply for admission based on the above criteria. No, CAT scores are not compulosry for admissions to MBA course at Techno India University. Because the university considers scores from other entrance exams too, likewise, CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ GMAT/ JEMAT/ TNJEE scores. Thus, you can get enrolement with CAT scores. However, it is not compulsory.
