Please tell me your Home State. With other state quota it will be pretty difficult to get into average NITs like NIT Rourkela, NIT Bhopal, NIT Jalandhar, NIT Nagpur. However, a Home State quota may make the scenario favourable. In Other State quota you can probably make it through these branches in institutes like NIT Durgapur, NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Hamirpur.
Having said this, CSAB (the Central Seat Allocatiopn Board for JEE Main qualified candidates), conducts 4 rounds of counseling. It is possible to take admission in a lower rated branch than electrical or mechanical (say chemical) during these 4 rounds. CSAB also conducts Internal Sli...more -
