No, you won't be able to get mechanical engineering at Thapar University but if you are interested in MBA also you can get dual mechanical degrees at Thapar University.

You have got 79 marks out of 360 in JEE Mains. Mechanical branch is one of the most sought by students. I feel you have very slim chances of admission with these marks.
