Of course, you can apply for B. Tech or BE in any college or university of India for lateral entry. Every university allows a Diploma student in any stream to take a lateral entry admission in 2nd year of B. Tech. So, you are eligible for that. So, don't get confused. Take admission in any college according to your choice. Best of luck.

Yes absolutely, after Diploma students can directly come to B.Tech 2nd year by writing an entrance test, most states conduct entrance test after Diploma, Telangana conducts ECET for Diploma students to join B.Tech colleges through lateral entry.

Some good universities do offer lateral admission to those having 3 years Diploma from a recognized institute. Kindly check the eligibility and then go for admission process of that university.
