Can I get admission in a good college in Germany for M.Tech after having a backlog in B.Tech (chemistry) which was cleared in the first try?

My current CPI in B.Tech chemical engineering (till semester 5) is 7.80. I had one backlog in 3rd semester (mathematics) but was cleared in the first try. Is it still possible to get admission in a reputed college in Germany or Canada for M.Tech if I work hard and get good marks in GRE and IELTS?

  • You can, if backlog is cleared within the stipulated course duration, it does not matter. However, to ensure your student visa, your overall percentage should be more than 70%.
Only if you have more number of backlog, then Canada will not accept more than 8 backlog. Germany will accept, if you would have cleared it within the course period.
