Can I get admission in a good government college in any state counselling or shall I go with LPU? I have got 88055 general rank in JEE Main

Your rank 88055 is very high and that too you are from general category so there is no way that you can get into a decent government engineering college. I'd suggest you to go to LPU or any other deemed institute. -

Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST-2017 or JEE (Main)
OR
In case marks scored in 10+2 are 90% or above, then LPUNEST-2017 or JEE (Main) will be exempted and candidate may apply for admission.
