286 rank in IPUCET is very good. Yes, you can get admission in Sharda University. The admission procedure for Sharda Univerisity is very simple. A candidate is only eligible if he/she has more than 60% in his/her 12th standard. There will be an entrance exam conducted for all the eligible candidates also known as Sharda University Admission Test(SUAT). SUAT is compulsory for all the national students. International students need not to give the entrance exam. If you have cleared 12th and have obtained 286th rank in IPUCET, getting admission in Sharda University by writing in SUAT will not tough. Dear Anushka, Every university has different eligibility criteria for the biotechnology programme. I am not aware of this programme at Amity, Sharda, Bennet, IILM, and Jaypee but being alumni of LPU I can say that you can do a biotechnology programme with 12th in PCB at LPU. My friend also did B.Tech in Biotechnology from LPU. A few of the major highlights of this programme at LPU are : 1.
