Can I get admission in Anna University if I score 61% marks in CBSE?

Yes. The 2026-27 marking scheme gives internal choice in 9 questions. Students attempt only one option in each of these questions.

The subject code of CBSE Class 10 Science is 086. Students should check this code on the question paper and the answer sheet.

Section A, which covers Biology, carries the most marks at 30. It has 16 questions, from Q1 to Q16.

The theory paper carries 80 marks. Biology has 30 marks, Chemistry has 25 marks and Physics has 25 marks.

The 2026-27 Science paper has 39 questions. They are spread across three sections: Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Some questions come with an internal choice.
