Can I get admission in any IIT or NIT through lateral entry after completing Diploma in civil engineering in India or abroad?

Currently there is no provision of lateral entry in 2 year of engineering for diploma holder engineers in IITs and NITs.

You have to qualify IIT JEE exam to take admission in B.Tech. However, there are many state universities/colleges/private universities which offer lateral entry to second year B.Tech students.

After completing the degree, you can appear for GATE and get a chance to do IIT.
