Can I get admission in any NIT or SGSITS with 74 marks in JEE and 89% in 12th (CBSE)? I belong to OBC category.

At this score, it is not possible to get an NIT or SGSITS. But, you can appear in the counselling till spot round.

Getting into NIT's is not possible. For getting into SGSITS you can get non technical branches such as IP or chemical with your rank . If you want to get into better branches wait for spot or college level counseling which happens after JoSAA counseling every year to fill the remaining vacant seats.

The cutoff is slightly more but since your category is OBC you must try for SGSITS in choice filling . Wish you good luck.

Hello Kaitan, chances for NIT are slim for you but yes you can get SGSITS although you may have to opt for a lower branch here. Good luck.
