Hi.
GIBS Finishing School (CPMP)
A core element of the preparation is the Certificate in Personal Mastery Program (CPMP), an exclusive training module held every Saturday, which grooms students for the corporate world. This program covers a wide range of essential skills:
- Soft Skills & Communication Training: Extensive training in communication, leadership, teamwork, public speaking, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- Image Management: Guidance on appropriate body language, dressing sense, and overall professional appearance.
- Aptitude and Psychometric Tests: Training and practice for the written and online tests often required during the selection process.
- Resume Building: Assistance in creating a professional and effective resume and building an online presence, such as a strong LinkedIn profile.
- Interview Skills: Sessions on interview strategies, how to answer difficult questions, and general job interview skills.
Mock Interviews and Group Discussions
To simulate the actual recruitment environment, the placement cell organizes intensive and realistic mock interviews and group discussion (GD) sessions. These sessions provide students with valuable feedback, helping them improve their critical thinking, listening, and idea presentation skills.
Practical and Industry Exposure
The curriculum is designed to be industry-oriented, ensuring students are "industry-ready" upon graduation. This is achieved through:
- Internships: Mandatory industrial internships provide hands-on experience in real business settings, allowing students to apply academic knowledge and network with professionals.
- Live Projects & Case Studies: Students engage in actual work with corporate entities and solve real business challenges through case study-based learning.
- Industry Interaction: Regular guest lectures, workshops, and panel discussions by industry experts and alumni provide insights into current trends and corporate expectations.
- Pre-Placement Talks (PPTs): Companies visiting the campus conduct PPTs, giving students in-depth information about the company, roles, and job requirements, which helps them make informed decisions.
