Can I get admission in IIM? I belong to SC category. I have scored in class 10th: 82%, 12th: 78% and graduation: 54%.

Hi Rohit, It is possible to get admission in IIM even if you belong to the SC category and have scored 54% in graduation. According to a source, the IIM shortlisting criteria for admission includes 95+ CAT percentile and 70% and above in graduation. However, another source mentions that a graduation percentage of 50% (45% for SC/ST/PwD) is required to be eligible for CAT. Additionally, another source states that candidates with a lower graduation score had a stellar CAT percentile, thereby offsetting any adverse impact caused to their academic profile. At IIMs there is a quota for SC candidates. You need to prepare yourself for CAT and try and secure a rank among other SC/ST candidates & be rest assured you will get admission in IIM.
