IITs give affirmations just on the premise of the JEE Advanced positions (AIRs). The following are not utilized:
JEE Main scores, e.g., IIIT-H use these scores.
All India Ranks touched base at through the standardization system utilized by JEE Mains. These positions are utilized by NITs to give confirmation.
Board checks just fill in as qualifying criteria for admissions to the IITs. Fundamentally, this implies regardless of the possibility that you get an average AIR in the JEE Advanced, you would not be considered for confirmation unless your Board marks are over a specific rate or percentile.

You can get admission in B.Tech without JEE, but you can give examination like UPSEE, COMEDK,MHCET etc. Frankly speaking, these examinations are easy to crack and have some of the very good college under them especially comedk. The packages of some of the colleges are at par with the IIT's even.
  • Hello Ayush,
The admission into IITs is based on the JEE advanced scores in which you can appear only on clearing JEE mains.
You need to have at least 75% in 12th but the admission is strictly based on the JEE advanced scores (ranks) only.

Yes, you can get admission in B.Tech on the basis of class 12th board, but the candidate with JEE Mains score is given a first preference.

  1. BPSC 2027 Mock Test Series (for your upcoming exam prep)?
  2. Or a general mock test for 2027 government exams (like UPSC, SSC, Banking, etc.)?
  3. Or are you referring to a specific subject/year 2027 question paper mock (e.g., “BPSC 2027 Prelims Mock Test”)?

With a 300 SC category rank in CAT, your chances for NIT Trichy MBA are relatively high. Based on 2025 data, NIT Trichy generally shortlists SC candidates with CAT percentiles around 60-65. To achieve a 300 rank under SC category, you would need about a 65-70 percentile, or a score of roughly 60-65 marks out of 198 in CAT 2025, depending on difficulty and normalization process. Final selection is also based on interview, academics, and work experience. Yes, you are fairly within touch, but I would encourage you to have a solid overall profile as well to increase your chances of admission.
