    Currently, there is no provision of lateral entry into IIT or NIT after Diploma in engineering.

    They do not have the provision. So, LPU is a better option among all of them.     No, there isn't any provision for lateral entries in IITs or NITs. You can opt for private universities and colleges. LPU is providing for lateral entries and is one among top 5 universities of the country. You can check for further details at its website.

    JEE Mains 2018 Eligibility Criteria to clear every single doubt coming in your mind.
    1. Nationality:
    Indian Citizen can apply. NRIs, PIOs, OCIs & Foreign national candidates can also apply.
    2. Have to score at least 75% in the 12th Board exams.

    Hello,
    Currently, there is no any provision for lateral entry after Diploma in IIT or NIT. You can still opt in reputed private colleges.

    Hi,
    NITs and IITs do not provide any provision of lateral entries. You can only apply for regular admissions.
