Can I get admission in IIT with 74.2% in HSC (SEBA board)? Should I drop this year? Will it better if I opt for some other course?

If you are in top 20 percentile of your board then you are eligible for JEE otherwise you can give improvement exam next year. If you think that you can crack JEE next year then you should drop a year.
