No, it's not required. JEE Mains 2 paper only for get admission in nits in architecture. If you get admission in architecture in iits then you need to qualify for the AAT exam after JEE advance.

For Architecture Admissions into IITs and NITs, You have to qualify JEE Mains Paper 2. Its mandatory to qualify Paper 2. If you have not appeared, then you have to appear next year.
