Can I get admission in MCA lateral entry if I've not done BCA from IP University?

I did BCA from PDM University Bahadurgarh and my friends were telling me that I can only go for 3 years MCA because I'm not from IP University.

Hello, The lateral entry for the course is granted by the university and it lays down the rules regarding the lateral entry is laid by it. If you are seeking admission in GGSIPU under lateral entry please go through the eligibility criteria under it. This thing is though unheard of but apply anyway,
