IIT and NIT, do not have provision of lateral entry admissions. You are advised to appear for JEE and seek regular admission in engineering.

    Hi,
You can't take admission in IIT or NIT, as there is no lateral entry scheme in any NIT or IIT. Lateral entry is given in private colleges in which Diploma students can directly take admission in 2nd year. Hope you got your answer.

No, IIT or NIT doesn't offer lateral entry admissions. You can take admission in first year after qualifying IIT-JEE.
