Being a student of LPU, I think I can provide you with an honest opinion. Though I'm not pursuing my B.Tech CSE I do have my friends who are pursuing the same. To get admission at LPU,You need to qualify LPUNEST.The eligibility of B.Tech is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST. My brother has completed B.Tech CSE from Lovely professional university and currently he is working with Amazon with highest package.He has learnt a lot from LPU. Reviews are pretty good. LPU is helping him grow professionally and personally with its career-oriented programs and support. He told me,LPU is the best engineering college in Punjab for CSE. Lately, number of admissions in CSE department have been increased rapidly and has become one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants. It focuses on the basic elements of computer programming and networking. LPU adopts new technologies faster than anyone, they update their curriculum even after each semester by taking feedback from the students and also to meet the latest standards. Yes, you can get admission on the basis of your scores in JEE Mains. So, as per the official website of LPU, the Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam) is defined as - Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST. So, qualifying the same, you can proceed for Admissions. On the basis of JEE Mains, you can get Scholarship qualifying the criteria for Scholarship. Dear Anand, Yes, you can admission to LPU for BTech in CSE through JEE mains exam. You should have a minimum of 85 percentile in the JEE Mains to fulfill the eligibility. I completed my post-graduation from LPU and one of my friend's younger brothers is studying over there in B.Tech CSE. There are a few points I would like to share about why CSE is good at LPU. Good Placement: LPU has a good placement record for CSE students. Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. in which they are placed. The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 lacs. per annum by Microsoft. LPU has a very good placement and achieved awards for employability also. The main thing for placement that I liked there is that LPU provides placement classes to the students from the first year, which helps students prepare for placement until their final year of the program. Scholarships: LPU provides scholarships to bright students every year worth crore rupees to all the students based on their academics, extracurricular activities, and other factors. Yes Mayank at LPU you cantake admission through IIT JEE score. As per the university guidelines, if candidate has 85 or more percentile in JEE(Mains), then LPUNEST is exempted The Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam) is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST/ JEE (Mains). For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmiri Migrants) This programme produces graduates with a broad understanding of the Computer Science and Engineering Discipline giving them a competitive edge through robust curriculum and hands-on learning in niche technologies to develop competence that caters to the requirements of the industry. It primarily deals with the development as well as designing of computer software and hardware processes with a strong focus on courses related to algorithms, computation, programming languages, program design, computer hardware, computer software, databases, operating systems, computer networking, etc. that are needed to build and solve problems using computers. LPU has not given any guidelines pertaining to admission on the basis of national tests. The best thing to do right now is to appear for LPUNEST and seek admission to B Tech CSE. However, you need to fulfill the eligibility conditions. The eligibility for the program is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics, and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST. Since you have already qualified JEE you would know the drill and prepare for LPUNEST won't be much of a task. All the information pertaining to LPUNEST such as syllabus, previous year question papers, and sample papers is given on the lpunest website. As per my knoeledge the admission to CSE through jee is closed. As per the Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST.
