Your prospects aren't too high if you are a candidate domiciled outside Orissa. If you are a Home State candidate, you stand fair chances in departments like Biotechnology Engineering(BT), Biomedical engineering(BM), Ceramic Engineering(CE) and in Integrated M. Sc courses for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Life Science. The BM, BT and Life Science departments in NIT Rourkela have state of the art laboratories and extremely qualified faculty.
