Can I get admission in VIT to pursue B.Tech through lateral entry?

LPU offers more than 200+ programmes in various disciplines. B.tech is also offered in LPU in various streams. As an LPU alumni i would suggest, that you should go for LPU to pursue your B.tech degree through lateral entry. So, you can plan to join LPU for this programme. Admission in any programme depends on the Eligibility criteria to be qualified for that programme. It also depends on the performance in last qualification and Entrance test if applicable. B. Tech. Lateral Entry Program is an innovative program, in which students who have completed a 3-year Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc. degree or equivalent examination with at least 50% marks can take admission and get B.Tech. degree in just three years. Performance in Entrance test are considered for Eligibility and Scholarship purpose. As an alumni of LPU, I would prefer LPU as it provides ample amount of opportunities to its students be it in terms of placements, internships or best infrastructure, best curriculum being offered by it. So without any doubt go for LPU. As far as I know there is no lateral entry for Vellore Institute of Technology as it is a private university. Visit the website of VIT for more information.
