Therefore, you may be able to get admission to these courses with 60% in Class 12th if you meet the other eligibility criteria and perform well in the entrance exam. However, you may also face competition from other applicants who may have higher marks or ranks. You can check the cut-off marks or ranks for previous years to get an idea of the difficulty level of admission.
For postgraduate courses, such as M.Tech, MBA and M.Sc., the candidates need to have a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field with at least 50% marks from a recognised university. The candidates also need to appear for an entrance exam conducted by the institute or a national/state level exam such as GATE, CAT, TANCET, etc. The admission is based on the merit of the entrance exam and the performance in the group discussion and personal interview (if applicable).
Therefore, you may not be able to get admission to these courses with 60% in Class 12th alone. You also need to have a bachelor’s degree with 50% marks and qualify the entrance exam and other selection criteria.
For research courses, such as Ph.D. and M.Phil., the candidates need to have a master’s degree in the relevant field with at least 55% marks from a recognised university. The candidates also need to appear for an entrance exam conducted by the institute or a national/state level exam such as UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, etc. The admission is based on the merit of the entrance exam and the performance in the personal interview.
Therefore, you may not be able to get admission to these courses with 60% in Class 12th alone. You also need to have a master’s degree with 55% marks and qualify the entrance exam and other selection criteria.
