    No, a score of 291 in NEET is unlikely to be enough to get admission to a government dental college for a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program: 

    Cutoff scores: The cutoff scores for admission to government dental colleges are typically at least 450 marks. 

    Category-wise cutoffs: For the SC/ST/OBC category, the NEET 2024 cutoff percentile is 40th. 

    Increased competition: The number of applicants for these courses has increased significantly, which means the competition is expected to be even more intense.

    It's unlikely that you'll be able to get admission to a government BDS college with 291 marks in NEET, even if you're in the SC category:
    Cutoff scores
    The NEET 2024 cutoff for BDS in government colleges is expected to be at least 500 marks, and a score above 600 could help you get into a top college.
    Category-wise cutoff
    The NEET 2024 cutoff percentile for the SC/ST/OBC category is 40th, with a cutoff score of 163–129.
    Competition
    Due to increased competition, cutoff scores are expected to be higher this year.
