Well, yes. You can get admission to the BTech BME course without giving the entrance exam. While top colleges like the IITs need valid entrance exam scores, there are more than 150 colleges that provide admission to the course on the basis of the marks obtained in Class 12 board exams. These colleges often take extra rounds like the GD or PI after cutoff release.
Look at the example of Tamil Nadu where the TNEA counselling takes place online after Class 12 board exams and students are allotted seats at government-funded engineering institutions on the basis of their Class 12 marks.
