Though 12th marks are really important to get into professional courses like Engineering, in general for offering an L.L.M programme the university checks for whether the student has a Bachelor's Degree in LAW (L.L.B) or Equivalent. It also checks for minimum marks which varies for different categories, for general/OBC it is 50% marks or equivalent grade and for SC/ST it is 45%. And final year students are eligible to apply. If you have good 12th marks its good enough or else need not to worry.

    Yes, maybe you can.

Admission to the LLM (Master of Laws) programme at the Indian legal Institute (ILI) may be based on a candidate's performance in their undergraduate legal degree rather than their Class 12th scores.

To learn more about the qualifying requirements for the LLM programme at ILI, I recommend visiting the Indian Law Institute's official website or contacting the admissions office directly. They will give you precise and up-to-date information on entrance standards, such as the minimal percentage necessary in your undergraduate law degree.

While Class 12th marks matter, they don't define your ILI LLM admission chances. Focus on your LL.B. grades, ILI CAT performance, work experience, extracurriculars, and recommendation letters.

So, in order to get admission to ILI you should try to have:

    1)Strong LL.B. GPA is crucial.

2)Ace the ILI CAT entrance exam.

3)Relevant work experience is a plus.

    4)Extracurriculars showcase your passion.

    5)Seek strong recommendation letters.

With a holistic approach, you can overcome any perceived weaknesses in your Class 12th marks and secure admission to ILI's prestigious LLM program.

    I hope this helps.

A gap of 1 to 2 years after 12th can be considered normal. Although the students should be able to address it via the valid documents. The reasons like health, finance, skill development or family are accepted.

And if the gap after the high school Diploma is beyond 2 years, strong documentation is required to justify the same. The documents like which shows productivity for which an SOP can serve great purposes.

Yes, it should not be hard for you to get admission to the University of Western Australia as an Indian student with 50% in class 12th. However, please note that it does not put you in the top applicants either. The general admission percentage requirement for international students is 50 to 65%.

Look at the other admission requirements -

  • English proficiency tests with IELTS (bands 6.5) or TOEFL iBT (82+)
  • High school Diploma from a recognised board like CBSE or ICSE etc.
  • Some course-specific subjects for Engineering programs

Top universities require a minimum of 80-90% in your 12th-grade board exams.

  • Average universities often accept students with 60-75%.
  • For highly competitive courses like Medicine, cut off is usually higher.
  • Strong SAT/ACT scores can also compensate for a slightly lower board percentage.
