All of the courses at the college are available to students in a regular, offline mode. The JBIT admission is offered to all of its programmes based on a candidate's performance in the relevant entrance exam and the most recent qualifying exam. The college accepts a number of entrance tests for admission, including TS EAMCET (for B.Tech courses), and GATE or TS PGCET (for M.Tech courses).

At J.B. Institute of Engineering and Technology (JBIET) the B.Tech offered programs are mainly on the TS EAMCET score. However, candidates may also be eligible for admission on management quota or another entrance test like JEE Main, as per the rules of the institute.
As a rule of thumb, candidates who are not able to get the seat through TS EAMCET can apply through management quota (if exists) or apply using JEE Main scores. For further details and for the latest news regarding other ways of getting admission, it is better to consult the admissions office or check the official college website.
