KEAM is the preferred mode: KEAM score is considered essential for admission to B.Tech programme by NCERC. Majority if not all the Quota seats in all the government medical and dental colleges are from the KEAM rankings.

    • Management Quota might have a requirement: When a student gets an admission in the Management Quota, he can get admission based on marks and any entrance exam other than KEAM but certain colleges still maintain the KEAM score as one of the criteria.

However, there's a slight possibility for admission without KEAM under the NRI quota:

Yes, the management quota for direct admissions is available at Nehru College of Engineering and Research Centre (NCERC) even without a KEAM score. The first point of access for those students who seek admission in that college is KEAM but NCERC also deals directly with seats under management quota that enables direct admissions.
    Key Points:

    • Management Quota: Under management quota, some seats are directly available without any kind of KEAM scores.
    • Eligibility: The candidates have to satisfy the basic eligibility criteria, which is generally a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the 12th-grade exams.

I don't think there will be admission in the B.E./B.Tech courses at NCERC unless you get through KEAM (Kerala Engineering, Architecture, and Medical Entrance Exam). Here's why:

KEAM is the preferred mode at NCERC: According to various places like NCERC's website and college review, the KEAM entrance, in itself, is a ticket to nearly assured entry into B.Tech courses at NCERC.

Very minimal information about alternative admissions: Scanty information on college admissions without KEAM on the college's website.

However, at a slight remote probability,

Management Quota Seats: There are private colleges in the country which guarantee that
