Can I get admission to NITs, IIITs or GFTIs with a CRL rank of 482483 and a category rank of 9561 in JEE Mains 2024?

<p>Possibly, admission may not be possible in some of the reputed NITs (National Institutes of Technology) or IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology), or might give admission very hardly to GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes) through three branches- Computer Science or Electronics branch under JEE Mains 2024, having a CRL rank of 482483 and ST category rank of 9561.<br><br>Although, you still have a chance with some institutes, slightly lesser competitive branches. The details are given below: <br>1. NITs: So needless to say, admission into the top NITs (like NIT Trichy, etc.) is almost impossible with a rank like yours. The only advantage is that this NIT is one among many others in which cutoffs are relatively lower. Other NITs: You might get lucky if you consider other niits where the cutoffs are slightly higher with less popular branches like civil engineering, bioprocess engineering, environmental engineering, etc.<br>2. IIITs :-<br>Almost like an NIT, the individual IIIT has cutoffs like the big ones such as IIITH and IIITD. However, there may be some less competitive branches or some newer IIITs where you can get a chance.<br>3. GFTIs:<br>GTIs have very low cutoffs when compared to NITs and IIITs. With your ST rank, you stand a better chance in some GFTIs. Consider the less popular branches. <br>4. ST Category Benefits:<br>In favor of the ST category, you would have this available at lower cutoffs, as in most reserved categories. But then, because of such a high CRL, it would again not help in the case of being particularly deemed colleges or branches as having less competition. Conclusion: <br>Though probably atop NITs and IIITs, you might still have a window of opportunity with other NITs, some relatively new IIITs, or perhaps GFTIs - especially in those branches: with higher cutoffs, or those that simply aren't as popular. A watchful eye should be kept on JoSAA counseling regarding specific cutoffs and seat allocations.</p>
