Can I get admission to the old IIMs? I have 87% in Class 10, 88% in Class 12 and 65% in my graduation.

<p>With your academic background and SC category status-apart from not having any work experience, old IIM admission chances are there, but largely dependent on your CAT score. Here are your chances in brief:</p><p>1. Academic Scores &amp; SC Category Advantage<br>Class 10 and 12 Marks: Good marks, viz., 87% in class 10 and 88% in class 12, will carry extra weightage; therefore, these are good academically and will make a positive statement in your profile.<br>Graduation Marks: SC Category- Even with 65% graduation, it's acceptable for most old IIMs, since this is quite low by general standards.<br>SC Category- This gives you a definite inbound advantage for lower-cutoff thresholds.</p><p>2. CAT Score Restriction<br>For SC category candidates, the requirement for a lower percentile than a general category candidate in order to maximize chances is an 80%-plus CAT percentile.&nbsp;<br>3. Old IIMs (A, B, C, L, K, I): Chances<br>IIM Ahmedabad: Highly regard academic consistency; the high CAT score (over 85 percentile) can compensate for poor graduation marks.&nbsp;<br>IIM Bangalore: Will consider academic diversity and consistency; expects an 80+ percentile.&nbsp;<br>IIM Calcutta: More of the CAT score; should be looking at 85 and above.&nbsp;<br>IIM Lucknow, Indore, and Kozhikode: There are very good possibilities with 80+.&nbsp;<br>4.
