It depends on the bank and your university. SBI offers collateral-free loans of up to ₹50 Lacs under Global Ed-Vantage for a list of select premier institutions. Bank of Baroda asks for tangible collateral equal to the loan amount on Baroda Scholar loans above ₹7.5 lakh. Timelines will vary per se.
