Can I get an immediate job after completing MBA from University of Melbourne? If yes, what package could I possibly get?

You need to first understand that Australian institutes and Indian institutes function differently. Here in India, you will get placement through campus placement, but in Australia, there is no such term called placement. You need to horn your skills and apply for jobs. There spoon feeding is not done, you have to search, make a network and get a job. So you might immediately get a job after graduating or else it will take more time to crack that interview and get a dream job. All this depends on your knowledge and communication skills. The University of Melbourne is one of the best business schools in Australia, surely after graduating you will have that tag and definitely, you will get a good package. Don't worry about the package, acquire knowledge the rest will follow you.

There is no certainty that you will get a job immediately. It would depend on a lot of factors like your personal skills, course curriculum and area of specialisation. You will have to initiate the job hunting process much prior to your completion of the course. Identify a list of companies where you would be interested in working and start approaching them for internships and project work so that you get an opportunity to showcase your skills & thus gain their confidence for seeking employment post completion of your program. In case one does MBA in India then one has an advantage of campus placement that brightens the chances of getting placed prior to completion of the course.
