To apply for the five-year BS-MS Dual Degree programme at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata, candidates need to have passed Class 12 in any stream from a recognised board with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates) along with JEE Advanced/ IISER Aptitude Test scores. The Round 1 closing rank for the BS-MS course stood at 403 for the General All India category student. B.Sc or MBBS degree with at least 60% marks are eligible for admission. During the admission to Integrated Ph.D. program, the candidates with a valid score of any national common aptitude tests.
Whereas, there are three channels for admission :
- Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Channel.
- Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) of the Indian Institutes of Technology Channel.
- IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) Channel.
