Can I get civil or mechanical engineering? My rank is 16040 and I have been called for the first round of counselling.

With your rank, you can bag civil engineering. Mechanical engineering will be a bit difficult as it is one of the most sought after course. Civil engineering is a branch which will see major growth in coming 10 years so I would say you can consider civil engineering courses in KIIT. We have a good lab for geotechnical, structure and water resources engineering.
