<p>Admission to the DJ Academy of Design is merit-based generally, though the scheme is not open generally. The process mainly depends on performance in the DJAD Entrance Exam for Design (DEED) and is followed by a personal interview for both undergraduates, B. Des, as well as postgraduates, M. Des, though strict eligibility criteria have also been set for the admission process.<br>For the B.Des program, one needs to have passed Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 50%, and, for M.Des, an undergraduate degree relevant to the course is considered for admission. For selection, students are evaluated for their design aptitude through an entrance exam and personal interview processes where candidates have to present a work portfolio that projects their creative abilities. These assessments, therefore, form part and parcel of the standard process, even though there will always be extra flexibility allowed for exceptional cases or special circumstances in admissions.</p>
