NIFT does not offer a direct admission option in general in any of its campuses. Admission is based on a competitive process that includes:

    1. Entrance Exam: The evaluation consists in a written examination, a test of design capabilities, knowledge and reasoning skills.

    2. Creative Ability Test (CAT): Especially For design courses like B.Des.

    3. Situation Test: A real life practical examination to carry out to test design sense.

    4. Group Discussion/Interview: For some programs.

It will be noted that direct admission through management quota is rare or can hardly be considered.

Unfortunately, you cannot get into NIFT directly. There is a long process to get into NIFT. You first have to take the entrance exam either for undergraduate or postgraduate which includes the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT). In some cases, you have to take the Situation Test. Then you would have to give some group discussions and personal interviews. After all that your score will be calculated, the higher the score the higher your chances of getting admission into NIFT.
