If you are thinking about placement and your career, I would suggest you to avoid Punjab Agricultural University at any cost. There's no placement and even if they are mostly in sales department that a candidate eventually leave. You should consider any other University if you don't want to regret later in your life. I have done graduation and post graduation from here and till date I haven't seen any one offering lucrative packages. There's no work culture over here, all you would learn in the course of your degree is going and dealing with clerical staff.

The admission criteria for the course of study are as follows: Candidates who have achieved a 10th or 10+2 grade from a recognised board are eligible to apply for the examination. On the basis of the aggregate marks, the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) Merit list is compiled. Those whose name is included on the merit column are invited to attend either PAU Counselling sessions or Personal interviews. ICAR-qualified candidates are directly eligible to be admitted to Bachelor's/Masters/Ph.D. programs. However, they must provide their testimonial in order to be eligible for admission. Direct admission is not possible for all courses.

Admission to Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) depends on the course and the admission criteria. According to the admission criteria, candidates who have passed 10th/10+2 from a recognised board can apply for the course. ICAR qualified candidates are directly eligible for admission to any Bachelor's/ Master's or Ph.D. program. Such candidates have to provide their testimonials. However, direct admission may not be possible for all courses. For some courses, admission depends on entrance and aptitude tests, while for others, it depends on direct admission
