Performance in national entrance exams is the main factor determining admission to IITs, which is a very competitive admissions process.</p><ul><li>The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced is required for admission to the B.Tech programs at IIT Patna. To appear in JEE Advanced, candidates must first pass the JEE Main exam.</li><li>The GATE exam is used to determine admission to M.Tech programs.
