No. Admission is based on various exam at Institute of Hotel Management, Shimla.
Admission to B.Sc is based on JEE. The Diploma is based on the entrance exam. Institute of Hotel Management, Shimla also conducts an interview round for shortlisting student in admission into Diploma course in Food & Beverage Service. It is based on the interview and score in the entrance exam

IHM Shimla admission process is different for BSc and Diploma courses. While admission to BSc is done on the basis of NCHMCT JEE 2020, for Diploma, candidates can directly apply on the basis of their academic record.
