Yes, admission to an MTech in Food Technology program is often based on a candidate's B.Tech aggregate percentage, as given below:

    • Pass with 55% aggregate marks in BTech in Food Science and Technology or Dairy Technology
    • Generally 55–60% marks in B.E/BTech, but may vary by university/program
    • Minimum 55% in graduation from any engineering college recognized by the AICTE
    • Some universities may offer a relaxation of 5% in the minimum percentage for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
    • Candidates who have a valid score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) may also be eligible for admission to an M.Tech program.
