Hi Thapar University is a deemed University which is situated in Punjab. Admission based on national level entrance exam and previous academic qualifying exam. Student can apply on the basis of JEE Mains for B.Tech. There are other equally good private universities like LPU which is so high rated by the industries that they recruit the students for top notch positions. LPU is conferred with National Employ-ability Award 2020 by Aspiring Minds for the 7th time in a row for having Most Employable Students and being one among the top colleges and universities in India with one of the highest Employ-ability rates. Hi, Apart from Thapar University, there are many other Universities that are better than Thapar in terms of placements, academics, curriculum, extra-curricular activities, exposure to the students, etc. That Keeping in mind all these factors, only one institute that comes to my mind is Lovely Professional University (LPU). Hi Deepika, it is really very important decision of the life which needs igenuine pondering. Apart from Thapar institute there are so many other private and public institutions in India especially in Punjab where you can get a very valuable and high quality education. Yes you can take direct admission in Thapar institute whether you have less percentage in 12th class are very low percentile in JEE Mains but do you really think that this very easy criteria will work for the next 3-4 years of your degree. Although, Lovely Professional University has relaxed their eligibility criteria this year due to Covid-19 pandemic situation, still it is very difficult to get admission in Lovely Professional University. This is because now they have raised their level of admission intake as well as they are coming up with dynamic over the period of years. Eligibility criteria to take admission in Lovely Professional University, candidate must have 60% aggregate marks in 12th standard and English must be studied as a subject. This year I am not very sure but previous year they were taking admissions on the basis of JEE Mains also (minimum 80 percentile was required). Now you can well judge the raised quality of Lovely Professional University Jalandhar Punjab. Whether it is curriculum, teaching, pedagogy, infrastructure, library, campus atmosphere, diverse culture, industrial types with the giant industries and finally the remarkable placements.
