Can I get direct admission in VJTI or KJ Somaiya to pursue the 2nd year of B.Tech through lateral entry?

Which are the good colleges in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai to pursue B.Tech through lateral entry? I am expecting to score around 60-63 percent marks in Diploma.

    Both are decent but certainly not the best, and also the location is in no way a measure of good education !
    You must try your luck in LPU, if you can get admission. It offers lateral entry programs to 3 year Diploma holders after 10th. The eligibility is 60% in aggregate in your Diploma. Now why LPU? Because of:
    CSE has about 8 specializations within its ambit, you have a great choice. Industry trainings like SAP, MOOCs and many more free of cost. Huge diversity of students and faculty.     I would suggest you to explore more before taking final decision. I would suggest you to look beyond these options and have a look over Lovely Professional University. I would prefer recent NIRF rankings released by MHRD to be checked, before deciding. Where LPU is mile ahead than a mentioned name.     Firstly, you have to apply for LEET entrance exam to pursue 2nd year of B.Tech through lateral entry.

    Well, migration to lateral entry Is possible but there are certain conditions which the candidate has to fulfill. Firstly, you should qualify the minimum percentage requirement. Secondly, If you have completed your 1st year without any backlog. Thirdly, you need to submit migration as well as character Certificate from the institute from where you have passed your 1st year. Lastly, your transcripts will be matched that whether you have studies the subjects required. For this mapping procedure, one needs to pay the charges of migration. If all the above proceedings went smooth then you may join the university. Hope this information help
