IISER Pune does not offer direct admission to the B.Sc. program, but instead offers an integrated BS-MS dual degree programme in natural sciences. This programme leads to both Bachelor's and Master's degrees, with no separate admission process for the B.Sc. portion. Admission to the BS-MS programme is based on performance in national entrance exams like KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) or JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Advanced. Students can apply through the KVPY channel, JEE Advanced channel, or SCB channel, with the latter requiring a 10+2 (Class 12) examination from a recognised board with a high score in Science subject
