Farook Institute of Management Studies does not allow direct entry of students into its MBA. Eligible students are selected according to entrance test scores like CAT, CMAT, or KMAT. An applicant must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50 percent marks in any discipline from an accredited university. After passing the score in the entrance test, candidates face a group discussion and personal interview in the selection process. Work experience is not mandatory but would add strength to the application.

Admission into the institute is taken for MBA through entrance examinations as it does not provide a direct admission procedure. The applicants are required to possess a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks coupled with valid entrance exam scores: CMAT, KMAT, and CAT. Once students qualify and score well in these entrance tests, they are called for group discussions and personal interviews. Thus, though direct admission is not possible, students can increase their chances of getting admission by preparing efficiently for entrance tests that are required and the following selection processes.

Other than these entrance exams, candidates will also have to participate in a group discussion and personal interview that are part of their selection procedure. Also, applicants must have completed an undergraduate degree from a recognized university with an aggregate score of 50%.
