For Pharmacy courses at Jamia Hamdard University (JHU), admissions are based on merit and entrance exam scores. Direct admission is available in Lateral Entry courses like B.Pharma. Where the selection criteria is the merit determined by marks obtained in D.Pharma (all years/semesters). Candidates must also submit the result of the D.Pharma courses.

Direct B.Pharma Admission is possible in private and deemed Pharmacy Colleges only. The seats given are called management quota seats. For direct admission, the students do not have to take any entrance exam. The only eligibility for direct admission is that they have to score minimum eligible marks in class 12th.
